Hello, and welcome back to my thoughts and musings. Today, I am taking a break from looking at the classic Disney Channel shows, and also a break from the Disneyland attractions.Normally, when I take a break, I prefer to enjoy a refreshing beverage; which Disneyland has several options. The question is, which should I choose?
In my mind, there are two Disneyland unique choices: The Dole Whip Float or a Mint Julep. Let’s take a look at both options, and then I’ll give you a chance to make your top pick. For the record, there is no right or wrong answer, and this poll is completely non-scientific, just for fun purposes. Let’s look at the proverbial tale of the tape:
Available in New Orleans Square at the Mint Julep Bar and inside the Blue Bayou Restaurant since 1966. The bar is located behind the French Market restaurant near the back side of New Orleans Square close to the rail road tracks. This tasty treat contains no alcohol, but has hints of lime, mint and is garnished with a cherry.
Dole Whip Float
Since 1976, this treat has been available at the Tiki Juice Bar outside of the Enchanted Tiki Room in Adventureland. The base of this treat is Dole pineapple juice, with Dole Whip added. The float is created with Dole Whip, the technical term for pineapple soft serve ice cream. Travel tip of the day…buy it from the waiting area of the Tiki Room, the line is not as long, and food and drink is allowed inside the Tiki Room. You can also purchase a service of the Dole Whip or pineapple juice, but the full refreshing experience comes from the Dole Whip Float.
So, what will it be, a Mint Julep or a Dole Whip Float?
